What is Fiona Frog and The Crystal Clear River Bed about?

Fiona Frog and the Crystal Clear River Bed is about a frog, Fiona, who feels a little confined to a small pond if you will, and is seeking an adventure. She happens to find a map that goes to The Crystal Clear River Bed so she decides to follow it.

What inspired you to write this book?

I was inspired to write this book on a road trip with my family to Marquette, Michigan. My wife was driving at the time so I was in the passenger seat. I started to brainstorm with my twin daughters who were in the backseat about fun characters and what they could be doing. Through brainstorming, we eventually landed on these characters.

What part of the writing or illustration process did you find the most enjoyable with this book?

I enjoy the illustrations the most. I like coming home from working on them which is usually at the local coffee shop, to show my wife and daughters. I love seeing the expression on their faces when I complete a page!

Do you plan on making more books with the character Fiona or would you explore other characters?

I do. I have a book called Naughty Molly that is currently in the back of my head for a sequel called "Naughty Molly and the Newborn Twins."
