It is not often that an offspring gets to walk through a picturesque view of kinfolks from the past. The Afro-American book has tapped into a space that should be visited by all relatives of those born in Bradley County, Arkansas. I found it to be inspiring yet causing me to reflect on the hardships endured by my grandparents, uncles, aunts, mom and dad. This book reminded me of where and from whom I came.

What inspired you to write this book?

As far back as I can remember I wanted to know about my ancestry. What my grands, great Grands look like. Just imagine what it feels like to open a book and find that relative that you always heard about, but never met.

What part of the writing process did you find the most enjoyable with this book?

The research: Gathering information, visiting cemeteries, and bringing it all together.

What do you want readers to take away?

In hope that the younger generation will not forget the history of our families. We are all bound together by bloodlines and that makes us all related to one another.
